Croft awaits for MB Motorsport sponsored by Diamondbrite®

After yet more silverware for MB Motorsport sponsored by Diamondbrite last time out at Thruxton, a trip to Croft awaits the team as they look to continue their podium-scoring momentum.

An excellent performance from the Motorbase Performance-run squad in Hampshire rewarded them with their best result of the season so far – a second-place finish in the opening race of the weekend courtesy of Jake Hill.

Keen to continue their good form, the team arrives at Croft circuit near Darlington aiming to capitalise on their momentum and achieve a repeat of their fortunes upon the series’ last visit to the track twelve months ago – where they claimed two podium finishes from three events.

Entering the final stages of the 2021 championship, drivers Jake Hill and Ollie Jackson are determined to keep pushing for podium results and all-important points scores in a closely-contested championship.

Fair weather on Saturday coupled with the possibility of rain showers on Sunday sets up a thrilling contest around the 2.13-mile circuit. Often regarded as the truest all-round test on the BTCC calendar, the track incorporates long straights with tight, technical turns such as the hairpin at the final corner.

Ollie Jackson – #48 MB Motorsport accelerated by Blue Square:

“We were unfortunate with our results at Thruxton but that gives me a renewed fire to come to Croft and get ourselves back up to the sharp end. The season really has flown by but we’ve still got 12 races left and I’m feeling confident heading into them.”

Jake Hill – #24 MB Motorsport accelerated by Blue Square:

“I’m really looking forward to getting on track at Croft. We were on the podium twice last year in the Civic and we made good use of pre-season testing here earlier this year so I’m feeling good heading into the weekend. The championship battle is tight but I’m taking it race by race, round by round. This weekend is the start of a double-header for all of us so the aim is to make it a good one and carry that through to Silverstone.”

Mark Blundell – Sporting Director, MB Motorsport accelerated by Blue Square:

“The team have made the most of a short break and come to Croft fully-rested and ready for another weekend of action. We can be proud of our performance so far this year but we’re always hungry for more and I’m sure everyone will be giving it their all once again this weekend.”
