Diamondbrite is excited to announce that it is continuing its journey with Kent-based racing driver Jake Hill in the Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship (BTCC), sponsoring the 2022 title hopeful as he moves with newly-formed ROKiT MB Motorsport to 15-time BTCC Teams’ Champions, West Surrey Racing (WSR)
Diamondbrite – best known for its award-winning Paint and Interior Protection Systems – began its journey with Jake last season when he was behind the wheel of the MB Motorsport accelerated by Blue Square Ford Focus ST.
The Diamondbrite team were impressed not only by Jake’s race results – the 27-year old ended the 2021 season taking two wins and nine podium finishes, and in a career-best fifth position in the overall championship standings – but his race craft, professionalism and general easy-going, good nature on and off the track too. It was an easy decision to continue the relationship with Jake as he fights for championship glory in 2022 in WSR’s brand new BMW 330e M Sport.
The fact that Jake hails from Royal Tunbridge Wells in Kent, just a short hop down the A228 from Diamondbrite’s HQ in East Farleigh, Maidstone, is just a bonus!
Handily the decision to sponsor Jake as he moves to the WSR-run ROKiT MB Motorsport entry the start of the brand new hybrid era of the BTCC ties in rather nicely with the launch of new Ceramic Performance; the next generation of Diamondbrite’s industry-renowned Paint and Interior Protection Systems that have been a mainstay of dealerships nationwide since their launch in 1992, back when the likes of the legendary racers Steve Soper and Tim Harvey were winning the title were winning the BTCC title for BMW.
Thirty years later, and still fans of the UK’s premier tin-top series just as they were back then, Diamondbrite is absolutely thrilled to be celebrating its anniversary and the launch of new Ceramic Performance Paint Protection by putting its name on one of 2022’s drivers to watch – and no doubt future BTCC legend – Jake Hill. Here’s to a fantastic season!
Jake Hill said; “I’m delighted that Diamondbrite have chosen to support again as I make my dream move to WSR in the ROKiT MB Motorsport car. It’s always a great feeling knowing that you’ve got great partners working with you, and even more so when they are based just down the road from where I grew up! I enjoyed working with Diamondbrite last season, and testing all the products on my R32 Nissan Skyline at home it has to be said! It’s fantastic for me to have that support as we fight for the first title in the new hybrid era of BTCC racing with the BMW 330e M Sport.”
Diamondbrite Marketing Director Lance Boseley added; “I’m delighted that Diamondbrite is partnering with Jake again this season. Not only was it a real pleasure working with him last year on projects for our social media channels, it was an even bigger one getting to know him on a personal level in the paddock too. Jake put in some fantastic performances in 2021 – he was on the podium at most of the BTCC events and also took victory at Goodwood twice – but we have told him that a podium or better still a Win at Brands Hatch is a must this year of all years! No pressure…well maybe a little bit! And anyway, Diamonds are formed under pressure, aren’t they? We’re all very excited for the coming season with Jake.
